Illumina, a lightbulb company, has released a series of mooncake themed light bulbs that are meant to add a cultural touch towards the festivities of the annual Mooncake Mid-Autumn Festival. Lucky Cat’s Lotus, Bean, and Yolk lightbulb packagings are all similar with bunnies and lanterns around the side of the boxes.
I wanted to emphasize the use of these lights at nighttime; therefore, the top of the panels have this night-like sky with circles of lights that represent moons. On the lids, there is a lucky cat on the moon holding onto a traditional lantern used during the Mid-Autumn festivals.
